How to Make a Resume Online for Free
You can make a professional resume in about 10 minutes, without paying and without signing up. Follow these 7 steps.
Start my resume →Step 1: Choose Fresher or Experienced
Open the free resume builder. Pick Fresher if you are a student or just finished studies. Pick Experienced if you have worked in one or more companies. The builder puts the sections in the right order for you.
Step 2: Fill your personal details
Add your full name, the job title you want, phone, a professional email, and your city. A LinkedIn link helps. You don't need a photo, date of birth or full address.
Step 3: Write a short summary
Write 2 to 4 lines. Say how many years of experience you have, your main skills, and one result with a number.
Sales Executive with 4 years of experience in B2B sales and client handling. Grew territory revenue by 35% in 2025 and managed 60+ dealer accounts across Gujarat.
Step 4: Add skills from the job advert
Add 6 to 12 skills. Use the same words as the job advert, because company software searches for them. Add software you use, such as Excel, Tally or SAP, in the "Software and tools" box.
Step 5: Add your experience or projects
Add every company, with the latest one first. For each job write 2 to 4 points. Start each point with an action word and end with a result.
• Managed 50+ customer orders a day with 99% accuracy
• Trained 4 new team members on billing software
• Reduced stock mismatch by 20% with weekly checks
Freshers: add college projects and internships instead. See our fresher resume format.
Step 6: Add your education
Write the degree, college, university and passing year. Freshers can add CGPA or percentage. Experienced people can leave out 10th and 12th.
Step 7: Check the score and download PDF
The builder shows a resume score with what is still missing. Fix those points. Then press Download PDF, choose "Save as PDF", and turn off "Headers and footers".
Tip: Change your skills and summary a little for each job you apply to. A resume that matches the job gets more calls.
